Exeter in the East of Devon, was founded by the Romans in about AD 50 and has served as an administrative centre for the region ever since.
The Tudor House, located in Tudor Street, off New
Bridge Street.
Dated around 1600, was built for a maltster. The building fell into
disrepair, and was painstakingly restored by Bill Lovell between 1963 and 1975
Despite extensive damage during the bombing raids of the second world war, Exeter has been cleverly rebuilt and is a popular and very pleasant place to live, and visit.
It has a thriving University, and the students ensure a good variety of night life , as well as plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and activities
Exeter
Cathedral is an excellent medieval building, and the old roman walls still
survive today
